What do 16 women do on a Saturday night......

Have fun of course!!

Well first we eat some awesome food.....well let me tell you these women know how to cook and bake!!!  From the two kinds of lasagna to the homemade beer bread and the desserts we out of this world!!  We did have salad too....  :)

We had two visitors with us for dinner......Tracy and Carrie.  These two sisters were vending in the Dance studio.  Carried Away Designs in Wool is the name of the company and I'll post more about this later.

After dinner we headed upstairs for dessert.....

We started with....

Birthday cake for Waynna!!  Ok...so we didn't have candles...but I said....One man's spatula is another crazy quilting ladies makeshift candle!!!

Our friends left and we headed back downstairs for show-n-tell!

We all showed what purchases we got throughout our day!  It is so much fun to see everyone's purchases!!  There was just a little bit of giggling!!  Ok...more than a little bit....that's what I love about these ladies.....too funny!

After all that...several of the ladies went all the way up to the top floor and made a wreath...to be honest, I can't believe they got anything done....I was one floor below sewing and the laughing coming from above put a smile on our faces!!  There's nothing better that women in their 50 and 60's getting silly and giggling like 10 year olds!!

I have to say a great big thank you to Cathy and whoever helped her pull this together!!!  And the biggest thank you goes out to each of the other 15 women I spent the weekend with!!  The sisterhood atmosphere that was present all weekend was just what I needed to recharge my soul!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Happy Sewing!!

The members of this guild are very talented and they do a lot of charity work!!!

It's been a fun 3-4 days!!!

I've learn a new technique.....

Video taping..... Not saying I'm any good at it but I sure am having fun with it!!!

Good news..... I've created a YouTube channel where I can upload them then insert the link here...... BAD NEWS the Marriott we are in doesn't have free WI-FI so I can't post a link here.....ugh!!

Ism disappointed that you can be in an expensive hotel and they nickel and dime you!!   And no refridge :(

On a good note you can see them all on my face book page!   When I get home I will finish uploading them!!

Ok.... Here we are right before the show started....

What a great bunch of people!  I cherish and appreciate them in so many ways!!  Mostly because they put up with me...

Doesn't the scream Jill!!!!

Escapades.....

It's a good thing we didn't have a timeline yesterday ......

Day started out uneventful.....but then...

Nancy and her husband got caught in Detroit traffic.... That put them about 45 minutes.

But as you can see in yesterday's picture ... We were happy to get the show on the road.

Went started heading south and stopped for lunch to eat, Nancy was finishing up a pattern and charging her laptop..... Was so nice not to be hammering down the road!

We get back on the road.... Just as happy as can be.....

Cincinnati traffic at 3pm was kind of heavy.... But we WERE moving until....

You need to go to my facebook page to see the video!!   www.facebook.com/tadaquilting

You don't need to have a facebook account to see my page.

It took us about 45 minutes to go 3.5 miles..... Ugh

After that it was smooth sailing UNTIL....we got into the mountains of Tennessee!

As my hubby says...... That was frog drowning rain!!!  Thankfully it wasn't long and we made it through safely!!

A few minor construction zones after all that and we made it safe and sound!!  Little tired after being in the car all day.... But we unloaded our stuff and jumped back in for a short ride to Applebee's!

It was a quiet dinner until the tired giggles kicked in... By this time I'm not sure we were using complete sentences   :)

As you will see in our last video of the night..... I felt as tired as I looked!!

But I slept!!  We are up and it's a new day to create some more Jill and Nancy Escapades !!!

BTW.... Check out Nancy's blog .... I have a feeling she's telling her side of the story..... Lol.  I hope they match!

But as my Aunt Mary says. "You tell the story how you want it to go, and I'll tell the story how it really happen".  :)

Stay tuned!!!

Happy Sewing!

Then we are starting our southern journey to Chattanooga, Tn. For the AQS show!!  I will be at the Innova booth with Accomplish Quilting.  Looking forward to seeing this great group of Innovians!!  I haven't seen most since Paducah.... To long if you ask me!!

Hope to see some of you there!!!

P/S. Yes I have my sewing machine in my   New GO bag!!   Brought two projects and Nancy has designed something and asked if I would test sew for her.  How exciting is that.... Won't be able to post finished product but maybe I can sneak a in progress picture!!

Spending time with friends!!

Since I have been home....I have tried to make the most out of my time.

I was lucky because Stash Blasters fell on a day when I was home.  I don't get to attend as much as I'd like.....but always cherish this group!!

Some months someone will give us a block to make for next meeting.  Last month, Judy shared a block she created that was part of a pattern she created!  It was published in a book!!

Here's Melody (aka bestie), showing us what she created from the block.
Melody actually had the book...and Pauline got hers out to so........

Here's Judy autographing the book....so cool do be published!!

Next up.....
Cathy showing her table runners she made.

Then Noreen showed a couple of her creations

Isn't that wreath awesome!!  Hope Noreen will teach us how to make that some day (hint hint).

What a beautiful quilt!  Now....to my defense...we had Stash Blaster's a week ago and there isn't a head in any of my pictures of this quilt....so if you know me....that means....I'm not remembering who's this is....I think Noreen...but could of been Cathy or Patty....

Judy showed us her wonky star quilt.....great colors and I love the pieced middle border!

Debbie got some great jelly rolls to donate to Loving Hands...a local group of ladies that make charity quilts.
Debbie crocheted this beautiful afghan....
Besides the flowers.....there's caterpillars, lady bugs, and 3d butterflies.

Waynna did a little demo on a spray adhesive....You can spray it indoors and after it dries it is no longer sticky.   I think I will be getting a can of this!!  I love when we share new finds!!!

Lynda made a few of these little dolls w/quilts....sooo cute!!
.

Her potholders.....

How cute is this little wall hanging.....

Waynna and I were trying to figure a way to get it in our bags....LOL  We wouldn't have done it........but it was so cute!!
How about her this black and yellow beauty!!

Marie showed what she did with these old bow tie blocks.  These blocks needed some TLC and Marie did a great job into turning what she was given into a keepsake!!  Nice Job Marie!!

Pauline showed her quilt top!!  I love yellow's and blues!!

Last but not least....

Cheryl showed us how she took the pattern where you take 3 one yard pieces and cut them in such a way that you get 3 different quilts.  Cheryl added a section and quilted as she went and created this gorgeous quilt.

Cheryl also shared this little container she found and decided it's purpose is to hold hexie flowers and when it gets full.....she will make something!  I bet if she did one a day it would fill in no time!!!

These ladies are awesome!!  The talent, the caring and sharing is phenomenal!!

I really had a great time....I love having a good time and helping with the giggles....however....I did get asked what goes on in my head....LOL  I can't really answer that...but if you have ever been near me at an event.....you know I usually think of a funny and say it.....I can say I crack myself up.....just hope to make others laugh occasionally...  Life is to short not to giggle and have a good time!!

I'm leaving next Monday for the AQS show in Chattanooga, TN.  I''m looking forward to spending time with the Accomplish Quilting crew!!!  Hope to see some of you at the show...please make sure you stop by the Innova booth and say Hi!!

Happy Sewing!!
